Typical
results from a spring guided catfish fishing trip with North Texas
Catfish Guide Service. Limits of Texas blue catfish are easily
attainable in short timeframes fishing in shallow water in late March,
April and early May. This is the most fun you will ever have fishing if
you are after numbers of blue catfish.
More
typical results from a Spring shallow water blue catfish fishing trip
on Lake Lewisville or Eagle Mountain Lake with Chad Ferguson of North
Texas Catfish Guide Service.
Winter
is the time for catching big Texas trophy blue catfish, fish to 50 lbs
are very common and multiple big fish in one trip are common results.
North Texas Catfish Guide Service has a provem track record of catching
big Texas trophy blue catfish.
Another
big Texas winter blue catfish caught with Chad Ferguson of North Texas
Catfish Guide Service on a guided catfish fishing trip. Catching a big
Texas blue catfish like this on rod and reel will change the way that
you look at catching catfish in Texas! These clients from
West
Texas had a blast fishing with North Texas Catfish Guide Service. We
have clients drive in from Abilene, Midland, Odessa, Lubbock and all
over West Texas all the time because they know how good the fishing is
when fishing with Chad Ferguson of North Texas Catfish Guide Service!
Flathead
catfish are occassionally caught on Winter trophy catfish
fishing trips
but the best time for catching Texas flathead catfish (often called
yellow catfish) is in the late Spring and Summer at night. North Texas
Catfish Guide Service offers flathead catfish fishing trips if that is
what you are after!
My good
friend Lane Halfmann joined me for a couple of hours one morning to
catch some blue catfish on Lake Lewisville and ended up with his
personal best catfish of 10 lbs.
This is a

Trucks Southwest Outdoors Report with North Texas Catfish Guide Service
on Lake Lewisville.
This
is me, Chad Ferguson, your Texas Catfish Fishing Guide with a trophy
class blue catfish. I don't get to get in the pictures very often!
Some
long time clients of mine with this MONSTER blue catfish they caught on
a guided fishing trip with me for TROPHY catfish! We caught
some
amazing fish this day.
Here
are the guys again with a big monster Texas flathead catfish caught a
few minutes after the big Texas blue catfish pictured above. Big Texas
catfish like this will really get you warmed up on a cold and rainy
winter day of fishing in North Texas
Another
long time client fighting a big trophy blue catfish on a guided fishing
trip with Chad Ferguson of North Texas Catfish Guide Service.
Besides
the excellent fishing we like to take time to enjoy the outdoors like
this beautiful sunset on Eagle Mountain Lake!
These
clients drove in from East Texas for a fabulous day of fishing with
North Texas Catfish Guide service during a cool fall day. Limits of
blue catfish and channel catfish are common many times of the year on
our guided fishing trips.
Our
Xpress HD22CC Center Console boat used on our guided catfish trips on
Eagle Mountain Lake, Lake Lewisville, Lake Worth and the Brazos River.
This big 22 foot center console bay fishing boat offers plenty of room
to fish comfortably and a dry and safe ride on the water. It is
outfitted with all of the best catfish fishing gear and equipment so we
have a great day catching fish.

About Chad Ferguson of North Texas Catfish Guide Service
A
little brief history about me. Be sure to check out my blog site for more information about me, fishing and some of my adventures!
I am a native Texan born and
raised in the Fort Worth Texas area and have been fishing as long as I
can remember. I grew up fishing from a very young age for anything that
would take a hook, you name it I would fish for it. I spent the vast
majority of my fishing time in the early years as kid fishing with my
father, grandfather and cousins on Possum Kingdom Lake, and then on
Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth. I spent a good bit of time chasing
catfish and learning through trial and error but still pretty much
fished for anything that would take a hook.
I
have spent hours on end chasing fish in Texas waters from my time as a
kid chasing catfish, stripers, bass and perch on Possum Kingdom Lake
(in the Gaines Bend area) to every lake, pond, creek and river in North
and East Texas. You name it if it has water and fish in it I have
probably spent a considerable amount of time on it.
I
had a brief period where I chased those green lipped trash fish (also
known as Bass) but it didn't last long. While I was a good Bass
fisherman I realized that the chunking and winding was way too much
work and I quit fishing for anything but catfish and engrossed myself
in learning how to catch catfish.
I
think it was 2001 or 2002 after a 10 year run as a Paramedic and
Operations Manager in the Emergency Medical Services field with no time
for fishing, I started guiding for catfish on Eagle Mountain Lake and a
few other lakes around North Texas and the rest is pretty much history.
It was also during that time that I founded the Texas Catfishing Resource, Redneck's Catfish Bait Soap, and Redneck's Juglines.
I
have had the honor of fishing with some of the best clients, and some
of the best fisherman in the United States and have learned a lot along
the way from them all. Every single one of my clients that fished with
me the first two years I was guiding are still clients today that fish
with me several times a year, and most of my business comes from repeat
and referral business I have a few clients that have fished with me
throughout the years that have even gone on to become guides themselves.
I
am married to a wonderful woman and am fortunate that she is willing to
put up with all of my nonsense, and have two great kids who both love
to fish as well. I live in Saginaw Texas (North of Fort Worth) and have
for the last 13 years.I
have two great kids that both love to fish just as much as I do so when
I do get the opportunity to do so I spend time fishing with them as
much as my can.
Other
than fishing, I have so much going on that I rarely have time for much
but when I do have time I enjoy doing anything outdoors, camping,
hunting, shooting, etc. I also spend a considerable amount of time
cooking now and then and I piddle around with some photography now and
then.
I am also a bit of a workout freak and spend a lot of time exercising, running, boxing and kickboxing.
Other
than that I enjoy anything that has to do with the beach (and saltwater
fishing). There is pretty much no place I had rather be than in the
Florida Key's soaking up the sun and fishing for Tarpon or hanging out
underneath a tiki bar!
