catfish are occassionally caught on Winter trophy catfish

Anyone
that has been around the Fort Worth area for any length of time knows
that Lake Worth is a mecca for catfish. This small 3,000 acre
lake is considered by some to be a mudhole but to anyone that has any
time at all fishing it they know much different.
Lake
woth is packed with some of the biggest fattest channel and blue
catfish that you will ever get into in the state of Texas. It has has
an amazing white bass population and has huge gar and flathead catfish
in it as well.
There is a consumption ban on fish from this lake
so all trips are catch and release only but if you don't care anything
about keeping fish this lake can be an EXCELLENT choice, especially for
the catfishing.
All guided fishing trips on Lake Worth start at the Loop 820 Boat Ramp
And
for those rare calls that I get now and then wanting to know If I will
take you to look for the Lake Worth Monster, Texas Bigfoot aka Goatman
